LG Part Numbers

How to Find Your LG TV Part Number Like a Pro

Disclaimer: There are way too many variations to list every possible example. If, after using this guide you are still not sure what parts to order, please call in to the office or email us at info@tvpartstoday.com.

If you’re diving into a DIY TV repair on your LG television, there’s one essential rule you need to know: always use the part number, never the board number! 🚫 Matching a board number might seem like a shortcut, but it’s the fast track to ordering the wrong part, wasting time, and putting your repair on pause. That’s why TVpartsToday is here to help you decode LG part numbers like a pro — so you can shop smart, repair right, and get back to watching what you love.

PLEASE NOTE: In the following pictures, the manufacturer's part number is circled in GREEN and is the number you need to match to your part to ensure you get the correct part. The numbers marked with a RED "X" are board numbers used in the manufacturing process and matching these numbers will not guarantee a compatible part. We have not put a red "X" on all board numbers present on the parts pictured.

⚡ LG Power Supply Boards: Know Your EAYs

The power supply board is responsible for distributing power throughout your TV — and when it goes bad, you might experience symptoms like no power, random shutdowns, or a blinking standby light.

🔢 Part Number Format

  • Correct part number: Starts with EAY, followed by 8 digits (e.g., EAY62810801)

  • Location: Often printed directly on the board OR on a white barcode sticker (⚠️ The EAY prefix may be missing on the sticker — but the number still counts!)

🚫 Don’t Use:

  • EAX numbers (e.g., EAX64905301) — These are board numbers, used for manufacturing and testing. Matching them doesn’t guarantee part compatibility.

💡 TVpartsToday Tip: If you find multiple numbers on the board and aren’t sure which is correct, snap a clear photo and email it to us at info@TVpartsToday.com — we’ll help you identify the correct part in no time!

🧠 LG Main Boards: The Brain of the Operation

LG main boards are your TV’s control center — handling video, audio, inputs, and smart functions. If your HDMI ports don’t work, the screen is stuck, or your remote won’t respond, this is usually the part to replace.

🔢 Part Number Format

  • Common prefixes: EBT, EBR, or EBU

  • Followed by 8 digits (e.g., EBT63424301 or EBU60763603)

  • Location: Usually found on a white label on the board

🚫 Don’t Use:

  • EAX numbers again! LG loves putting EAX codes everywhere, but they are just board numbers, not part numbers. You’ve been warned! 😅

💡 TVpartsToday Tip: Different EBT numbers may look similar — but they’re not interchangeable. Always use the exact part number printed on your board, or get in touch with us to verify compatibility.

🖥️ LG T-Con Boards: Picture Perfect Precision

The T-Con board (short for “Timing Control”) manages your screen’s pixel data and refresh signals. If your TV shows a black screen, weird colors, lines, or flickering — this little board could be the culprit.

🔢 Part Number Format

  • Starts with: 6871L-XXXXX (e.g., 6871L-4876A)

  • May be printed in small text directly on the board

⚠️ You may only see the suffix and numbers printed — if so, you must add the 6871L- prefix yourself when searching.

For example:

  • If your board says 4876A, your full part number is likely 6871L-4876A

  • If the number has only three digits (e.g., 876A), add a zero to the front: 6871L-0876A

💡 TVpartsToday Tip: T-Con numbers are often tiny and easy to miss. Use a flashlight 🔦 and take your time. If all else fails, we’ll help ID it — no stress!
